The Temperature Controller Profile

The Temperature Controller is styled on an N2U Design, made from 4mm + 6mm, off white, fine grain, High Impact Polystyrene. This design is classified as an N2U as it is based around the N2U format, however that is not quite the case. Unlike the N2U, this design consists of 3 component pieces of plastic ; lid, base/side panel, side panel. The lid/side panel does not clip onto the other component parts, it actually slides over the base component and is fastened by screws.

The enclosure uses this feature to allow ease of use in its application. The complete unit is actually used once bolted to a wall. To enable this, the base has 3 holes with extra bonded supports to fasten the unit to the wall securely and permanently.

As you can see there are three main cut outs to the lid/side panel, one with a clear perspex panel bonded on to protect the LCD display within. Also there are recesses added for styling and for the company logo label.

Internally there are 4 pushouts and one cut out machined into the side panel which once fastened to the wall actually becomes the base of the box. The pushouts are for various wires which go directly into the enclosure, and therefore allow this design to be used in more than one application. Additionally there are 8 pillars, 4 inserts (to secure the lid), and one bonded support to hold the electronics in place.
